Admissions

Choosing a CILA provider is a big decision. MISSI’s admissions process is designed to be transparent and supportive for individuals, families, guardians, and ISC partners.

Who We Serve

  • Adults (18+) with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Individuals eligible for CILA services through Illinois DHS.
  • People who would benefit from 24-hour, community-based supports.

Admissions Steps

1. Initial Inquiry

Families, guardians, ISCs, or individuals contact MISSI to share needs, preferences, and timing.

2. Information Review

We review assessments, clinical information, and service history to determine whether MISSI can safely support the individual.

3. Tours & Meetings

We schedule home tours and team meetings so everyone can ask questions and explore fit.

4. Team Decision

MISSI leadership, ISC, and partners collaborate to confirm placement and support needs.

5. Transition Planning

We coordinate move-in logistics, routines, and introductions to housemates and staff.

6. Ongoing Support

After move-in, we monitor adjustment and update supports with input from the person and team.
